Parent & Caregiver Training

Empowering Parents to Be a Confident Part of the Therapy Team
At Radiant Autism Center, we believe parents aren’t just observers in the therapy process—they’re essential partners. That’s why we include structured, ongoing caregiver training in every child’s ABA program.
When families are equipped with the right tools, progress doesn’t just happen during sessions—it becomes a way of life. Our training helps you understand the “why” behind your child’s behavior, respond with confidence, and reinforce the skills they’re learning in therapy.
You don’t have to do this alone. We’ll guide you every step of the way.

Why Parent Training Is So Important
Research shows that ABA therapy is most effective when families are involved. But for many parents, autism therapy can feel overwhelming—especially if you don’t understand how or why certain strategies work.
That’s why we focus on making therapy transparent, collaborative, and empowering for families.
With Radiant’s caregiver training, you’ll:
- Learn how to support your child’s goals at home
- Understand the purpose behind techniques and behaviors
- Improve consistency between therapy and home environments
- Build confidence in responding to challenging behaviors
- Create stronger connections and shared successes as a family

What Parent Training Looks Like
Every family we work with receives weekly caregiver sessions with their child’s Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). These meetings are collaborative—not lectures—and designed to be practical and personalized to your family’s needs.
You’ll cover:
Behavior management techniques
Communication strategies
How to reinforce skills during daily routines
Troubleshooting difficult moments at home or in public
Celebrating wins and adjusting goals as your child grows
Training sessions may occur in our clinic, virtually, depending on your service setting and preferences.
Who Should Participate?
Any primary caregiver can benefit from training, including:
Parents and stepparents
Grandparents
Babysitters or extended family members involved in daily routines
Foster parents or guardians
Consistency is key—so the more aligned your care team is, the more effective therapy becomes.

Real Support for the Real World
You’ll never hear us say “just follow the program.” We want you to understand what’s happening, feel confident using tools at home, and know you’re not alone when things get hard.
Parent & caregiver training is one of the most powerful tools we offer—not just for therapy outcomes, but for peace of mind.
